kira, makes recipe zines, called papier frites, with a great concept: she cooks for a musician, the musician can chose one ingredient. then the musician records a song, that is somehow inspired by the food and kira draws (!!) the recipe, so everyone is able to read it – no language barriers, and screen prints it. the overall result: a beautiful zine, containing a recipe and a song.

see some pics of edition #2. for this edition kira cooked for me and primo jr and i am oak, so there are three downloadable songs coming with the zine. release date of the zine #2 is 11 mar 2011, that’s why there has to be a party! and live music! so i am playing this night. and if you want the zine, let me know!

“vreemd volk” means weird folks, which is how they call the southern dutchies … during CARNEVAL!

but luckily this evening has nothing to do with that (carneval just starts the day after), but is more about weird FOLK .. as in freak folk :)

this show will be a house show at the headquarters of the small label moving furniture. the place it at afrikanerplein 80 in amsterdam. psst: i will bring a secret guest who will collaborate with me :) oh and you better be there on time, it’s a small place that only fits 20 people or so!

i already thought: oh what a pitty! i’m going on holidays and missing tiny vipers! but then it appears she’s also playing in utrecht, exactly one day before my leave. funniest thing: i got asked to be her support act. yeay :)
